This Friday, 26th of April, our students went to Prague to visit the unique exposition of the pharaoh Tutankhamun. Throughout the exposition, students had to fill in worksheets in English language, subjected to Ancient Egypt and Tutankhamun himself. All students worked really hard and had a great day out. The next day, Saturday 27th of April, students worked on Tutankhamun and the Ancient Egypt project. This project was made of different parts, each of them subjected to a specific element of the Ancient Egypt and the Tutankhamun’s era. For example, one part was subjected to Tutankhamun and his discovery by Howard Carter, second was a Map of Egypt with descriptions, including historical cities of Alexandria or Asuan, and short comparison article of ‘Times before and Times now’. The third and the last part of this project was a Map of the Delta Nile with signposting of the major landmarks, story about J. F Champollion and the Rosetta stone and how did the Gods influence the Pharaohs. All students worked very creatively on this project, which developed, among other skills, their vocabulary building and ability to reproduce materials and information into short articles in their own words. Finally, Sunday 28th of April was about grammar revision for our students. They all worked really hard and well done to all.
